4 years, 25k, 10 lbs of weight added and unforgettable memories = university degree...
in some ways i feel unsatisfied or the feeling hasnt sunk in yet...possibly in a month or so
anyways i arrived at 8:30 (7:30-8:15am) was the pick up timefor the gown and hood, we didnt even get caps! it made sense since we were gonna get hooded...fortunately there were hundreds in line so i didnt worry about not making it in time
i was impressed how organized and efficient the program went...they put us in order by number and alphabet and we walked in a straight-forward line towards convocation hall, it felt like cows going into the slaughter only that we were graduating from u of t...not bowvine university as ralph wiggum would say
i was worried that they wouldnt call my name at the correct time since numbers 198, 199 and 201 were not present...i was number 200, but my skepticism turned into optimism as i watched the co-ordinators work busily and giving them the credit that they have done this for the past few years
anyways, time came and it was my turn to head up to get hooded...it was a nice feeling...it went by too fast yet but an special experience that will stick with me forever...opening up the envelope with your name and a degree attached to it...
special mention to my parents who i couldnt have made it through without; physically, financially, spiritually, my boy haakon who won the E.A. Robinson Medal for social sciences meaning he had a super high g.p.a. like infinity or something and got the announcer to say "haakon NORWAY knoph" as he came up...haha
ended at noon with me scrambling to get some pics and last good byes in and handing in gown and hood to go for a nice lunch with the rents and cuz...
night started with a little reunion at felcia's irish pub in the saug and ended at 4am with a drive in whitby getting a bite to eat with middle-school boys...
